Currently we are seeking an Payroll and Administration Officer to support our water operations and maintenance team based in Bendigo. Reporting to the project accountant, the administration officer will provide payroll, administrative and accounts support to the wider team.
This is a great position for an enthusiastic, organised and proactive person who loves being busy and doesn’t mind a mixture of payroll, accounts and general administration support. These duties will include: processing timesheet data, updating and maintaining payroll records, checking for accuracy, understanding the site EBA agreements, account payable processing and reconciliation. In addition, you will be expected to complete general administration duties which may include ordering stationary and kitchen supplies, organising meeting rooms and catering etc.
The successful applicant is expected to have:
- Previous experience in payroll
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate strong working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Extremely high levels of data entry accuracy to assist in processing payroll requirements
- Experience raising and issuing purchase orders and reconciling accounts payable/receivable
