We are currently looking for a Workshop Manager, to be based at our Plant in Mount Kuring-gai. This is a key position within the Plant business, ensuring the smooth running of the facility and maintaining its 5-star status.
The role will report to the Plant Operation Manager for NSW/QLD, and act as the first point of contact for the plant workshop. You will be responsible for communication with internal stakeholders in relation to the plant and storage. On a day-to-day basis, you will also be required to arrange and maintain plant yard equipment.
To be successful in this position, you will have previous experience in a scheduling role of a plant and/or equipment and the allocation of transport deliveries. You will have strong organisational and prioritising skills, and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines. We are looking for an individual who has prior yard and workshop experience; working on a large plant fleet, especially with CAT and Komatsu machinery exposure. Batch and paving machinery experience is also desirable.
You will be a qualified mechanic, have a current driver license and preferably a forklift and crane ticket. Your experience managing a workshop team including plant mechanics, boiler makers, apprentices and labourers will also be clearly demonstrated. In addition to this, you will have good general knowledge of workplace health and safety and computer skills.
