We offer challenging opportunities Cost Planning with the opportunity to be exposed to working on both small and large scale projects in varied disciplines and rotated within several sectors of the Lendlease Building business, including; Major Projects, Retail, Commercial, Residential, Health, Defence and Aged Care & Retirement Living and Mixed Used Developments. As a Graduate Cost Planner you will be responsible for a broad range of Cost Planning and Estimating activities, you will be required to assist and learn about the provision of Cost Plans and Estimating to support the Cost Planning function in the implementation of protocols, controls, systems, best practices, standards, knowledge base to achieve cost certainty for the business in their specific region.
Working closely with Senior Cost Planners, Cost Planners and Project Mangers, you will learn key skill sets in providing quick and accurate measurement of quantities, defining and applying the Project Brief to their work, effective use of ‘Value Engineering’ to optimise client value, learn how to reduce risk and analysing data in controlling design to a defined set of cost parameters. Through this you will start to understand market conditions with regards to applicable rates, subcontractors, supply chain and our competitors.
With a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or any related discipline, you have demonstrated leadership qualities and a desire to stretch your capabilities.
