We are currently searching for an experienced, customer focused & professional Chef Assistant to join our award-winning resort, The Baytree by Ardency. Reporting to the Resort Manager, the Chef Assistant will ensure high quality food for our Al La Carte Restaurant, lunch and dinner service to residents.
The Chef Assistant will work closely with the Executive Chef with menu planning and in the absence of the Chef supervise, develop and coach kitchen and food service staff. Further responsibilities will include the appropriate use of equipment and stock handling. This is a permanent, full time opportunity that will see you work from Tuesday to Saturday.
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience in a similar role with excellent food knowledge & operational skills. Trade qualifications, Food Handlers Certificate, & food preparation skills and catering knowledge are essential. We are looking for someone with genuine excitement and passion for the industry as well as excellent communication and organisational skills. You will possess a strong work ethic, professional demeanor & creativity. You will have a passion for providing outstanding customer service coupled with a strong ability to work collaboratively with a team to achieve outstanding results.
