Lendlease Building is searching for an experienced Project Engineer to join one of our project teams, based on a defence project in Perth. This role will have accountability for the safety, procurement, design coordination and leadership for a range of projects, within the Building business.
We understand the unique needs of the sector and have earned a reputation as one of the leading defence contractors in the world. Our reputation for quality, reliability and safety means we are a trusted partner of the Army, Navy and Air Force. Lendlease is proud to work with the Department of Defence to enhance Australia's defence capability. Working on a defence project is unique, presenting different challenges – this will be working on the Delamere air weapons range building project. Currently we are in the planning or delivery phase for 13 projects in defence valued at approximately $2.9 billion across Australia.
As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for the managing and resolving of detail design, mentoring of less experienced site engineers, as well as managing subcontractors and service suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of high quality construction projects. This will involve developing and maintaining construction programs, implementing the procurement strategy, as well as the Quality Management Plan.
The successful candidate will have experience as a Project Engineer, or similar, working in a delivery team on building projects, preferably within the defence or health sector, from top or mid-tier main contractors. This will be coupled by a construction management or engineering qualification. You will be an all-rounder with ideally experience in fit out. Proven leadership skills will also be key as will a passion for safety, quality and sustainability.
When it's important we deliver. Some projects simply demand it. A focus, a new idea, a finish date, a cost imperative, a level of safety, a way of working, a strategic partner. Or a complete re-think.
Lendlease is a diverse, flexible and inclusive employer of choice. We engage, enable and empower our people. Inclusion sets all of us up for success.
