Currently we have an opportunity for an experienced Fibre Technician to join our team in Brisbane. Working within the Telecommunications Division, based out of our Murarrie depot your responsibilities will include analysis, installation, testing and commissioning of optical fibre to current standards in both existing and new premises.
To be successful in this role you will be trade qualified with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in live network splicing and cutovers combined with full understanding of telecommunications network architecture. You will have a working knowledge of telecommunications standards, codes of practice and general regulations combined with the ability to comply and understand the relevant HSEQ legislation and procedures.
As the successful candidate, ideally you will have:
- experience across the Optus, Telstra, Pipe, Next Gen networks;
- proven experience in the preparation of As-built requirements;
- experience to plan and execute projects within budget and in line with customer requirements;
- Hold Austel Open Registration and be experienced in OTDR Testing.
