A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join our Retirement Living team in our regional head office in Parramatta. Supporting the Regional Finance Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the key aspects of the Retirement Living including being responsible for the production of operational and management accounts for 16 villages within the NSW/ACT portfolio.
The Financial Accountant will be responsible for the month-end and year-end accounts, overseeing of the audit process for the villages, preparation of annual village budgets and providing analysis, insights, forecasting and commentary on management reporting on a monthly basis.
In addition, as a result of a global Oracle implementation, the successful candidate will also be expected to develop a good working knowledge of the system to help drive efficiencies and improvements in reporting as well as play a key role in implementing future reporting upgrades.
The successful candidate will be a motivated and technically strong Financial Accountant with several years’ commercial experience. You will also be CPA/CA qualified with knowledge of main stream (tier 1 and tier 2) accounting systems. You will have demonstrated in the past a high level of analytical thinking & commercial acumen, as well as a consultative and solution focused approach when it comes to partnering with the business. This position also requires strong Excel skills to support the reporting focus, and exposure to Oracle and Microsoft dynamics would be highly regarded. As you will be liaising with broad range of internal and external stakeholders, your ability to build strong working relationships will be supported by a polished communication style. This role will continue to evolve over time and as such, a positive, proactive approach would support your growth.
